An exciting summer at Music Fest Perugia 2018

During summer 2018 in Perugia, Gaddiel took part as a faculty conductor at MFP for his 4th year and conducted a great amount of concerts. Between 14th to 19th of August, Gaddiel conducted 5 concerts in 5 consecutive days. Every day a different program of Piano Concerti was programmed with different young soloists. On August 18th, Gaddiel also conducted the Opera Gala concert which consisted of Arias and ensembles from Mozart’s famous Opera Cosi fan tutte.

The program of this year consisted of new movements from Concerti never played before at MFP : Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1, Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 3 and Ravel’s Piano concerto in G Major. In addition the program consisted of the regular various concerti by Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, as well as romantic Concerti by Mendelssohn, Chopin, Grieg and Rachmaninoff.
At the Opera Gala, Gaddiel collaborated with singers from Japan, Israel, Korea and Italy. On the program were arias and ensembles from Cosi fan tutte such as “Soave sia il vento”, “Smanie implacabile”, “Come scoglio” as well as more musical pearls from this wonderful Opera by Mozart.
The orchestras at the festival were the “Cherubini” Youth Orchestra from Florence conservatory and the Virtuosi Brunensis Orchestra.

Founded by Israeli Pianist Ilana Vered in 2005, Music Fest Perugia takes place every year in the historical center of Perugia, Italy. The festival has for mission to give every participant the opportunity of performing with an orchestra as well as a great amount of lessons and masterclasses from a leading faculty. Every evening at the festival, the orchestras are collaborating to perform with different young soloists. The concerti played range from Classical era by Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven as well as romantic by Mendelssohn, Chopin, Grieg, Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninoff among others.
Gaddiel joined MFP in 2013 and has conducted over the years a large variety of all the piano and violin concerti in the standard repertoire.
