After conducting during the three rounds of the 3rd Turchak Conducting Competition, Gaddiel has received the 1st prize and Gold Medal from the jury, as well as the Orchestra prize by receiving the most votes from the National Academic Symphony Orchestra players.
The orchestra has invited Gaddiel to conduct a season concert during January 2019 with a French Program of Debussy, Ravel and Franck.
The competition was held at the Kiev National Conservatory during between November 26th and December 1st, 2017, ending with a winners concert at the Philharmonie Hall.

Comments from the jury members
Eugene Stankovitch, composer: “During the competition the orchestra played marvelously, especially in the final round. Everyone were paying attention. By the way we also considered the orchestra player’s opinion. I know this orchestra very well and the musicians personally too. And so it happened that the first prize and orchestra prize was won by the same person: Gaddiel Dombrowner (France-Israel). In my opinion, it is a very important fact. The players told me that he didn’t need any rehearsing: “We played, we followed him”, and this is what people for whom playing and performance is the meaning of their life, their daily bread. Gaddiel Dombrowner – he is a brilliant young musician, and I am sure we will hear from him soon.
Mikica Evtich, conductor: “The conductor from France, who received the first prize, is a mature, serious, experienced conductor. I’m sure his career will be very good. The jury unanimously chose him, Gaddiel Dombrowner, as the winner.
