Gaddiel has returned to the Constanta State Opera for a very special celebration of 130 years since the first premiere of Puccini’s La Boheme. Together with soloists: Soprano Nicoletta Ardelean as Mimi, Razvan Sararu as Rodolfo, Ioan Ardelean as Marcello and Silvia Simionescu as Musetta, the beloved opera received as usual a long standing ovation from the local audience.
La Boheme, Puccini’s most famous and beloved opera, is based on the famous book of Henri Murger about the Bohemian life in Paris of the late 19th century: a story of 4 artists living in the same small apartment, while trying to survive their day to day life in a humorous way while at the same time trying to find love and meaning to their young life.
The opera is the most demanding that Puccini wrote both for the conductor, the orchestra and most certainly for the soloists and has very famous arias such as “Che gelida manina”, “Si mi chiamano Mimi” & “Quando men vo'”.
The performance was on February 7, at the Constanta State Opera.
